Shark Girl and misc.

Oh hi! Fancy meeting you here!  Been on a cartoon kick for a bit now, and check the newest stuff.  Did some random faces, and then did a full character.

The character was really fun so I just kept going with her.  Shark girl! Cuz, you know, I'm so good with names.

Adding the captions is always fun too.  I want to do more animations in the future, and she will be a fun one to try.  Swimming around will be a big challenge.

Today's Drawing Dump

Yo! Here are some drawings.  These are the ones that I'm willing to post, because they aren't just scribbly brainstormy nonsense, with notes written all over.  I've got a few pages like that, but they are for me.  It would be like showing half of an unfinished blueprint with coffee stains and corrections scribbled in crayon all over it and expecting anyone to see what I'm trying to build.  Maybe I'll post some of them later when they can be classified as progress pictures, but I need to get somewhere before I can tell you how I got there.

In other news. I got an Instagram account!  I don't have much up yet, and it's only going to be drawings.  No pictures of food with that filter that makes it look like it was taken in the 60's, or sunrises of crap like that.  Just instant gratification of  sharing my doodles as soon as they're done.  Search for wolskiddens.  These first two pics are up there, but these are better resolution scanned versions.  They were also drawn on a water wrinkled old pocket notebook.  That's why they look kinda weird.

These one's were in my sketchbook.  The one with the elfy girls, I never finished the one with the bow.  Probably won't.  Never got around to clothes.  I was mostly trying to figure out the shadows on her arm.  The other page is a very hit or miss cartoon experiment. Some good, some bleegh.  I want to do more cartoon type drawings, with characters stylized to varying degrees.  Really cartoony characters are not something I have a lot of practice with and I want to get better, so you will be seeing more experiment pages like this one.

Well, the ratio of words to pics today is a little too talky.

Another Champion

Hello, so I haven't been as productive as I would have liked recently.  But this one is fun.  A while ago I made this one.

The Blade Queen in Kraken armour. She's quite a badass, I mean, you don't get to be Queen of something by sucking at it.  I think she turned out really well.  I would like to someday make a model of her and animate her fighting.  That would be a hell of a challenge, what with all the extra limbs.  All's I'm sayin is there's a lot going on.

Anyway, I decided to follow this up with another one.  Following the sea creature theme, this one's a Lancer with Lionfish armour.  Not as strong or tough as some of the other's (there will be more to come), but venomous enough to kill almost anyone who gets too close.  Her spear hooks together to be either one, double ended, long spear or two that are short enough to use in one hand.

So, yeah.  These are fun, so I will be doing some more of these sea creature themed fighters.

Bugs

Hello friends, so here's some fun drawings.  Same character all around.  We call her Bug.  Mostly cuz she has has insect wings. We called her that as a placeholder and we never really came up with a real name.  I figure it's a derogatory name for members of her race and she just owned it. She hangs out with this one.  They pals.

Kind of a hot head. Couldn't find combat boots in her size so she wears extra socks under oversize head kickers.  Likes explosives, and used to be an enforcer for an alien drug cartel before going pirate.

That plus she has an affinity for electricity. She can generate static electricity with her wings and channel it through her nervous system.  Kind of a walking tazer.

Definitely one of my favorite characters.  The ones with the bad attitudes are fun.

Mechanic and Valhalla girl

Hey guys, I've been cooking up a bit of back story for the mechanic. I even gave her a real name!  First Sargent Charlotte (Charlie) Jackson.  Aka Gears/Sarge/Boss or Queen bitch of the grease monkeys.  She spent some time in the trenches before the higher ups finally figured out she was a talented machinist, and moved her to the armored fleet.  Since she's so short, while in infantry, she got stuck as a tunnel rat, and would be sent into mines and tunnels that got dug under opposing trench lines.

Also some doodles of Sasha (Valhalla Girl).

Hey dudes.  Here are some more drawings cuz, ya know, that's what I do n' stuff.  There are a couple that are some characters I've been drawing since high school. The dame with the dreadlocks we call Shade.  She's the one in the digital ninja post.  The other one we call Bug, mostly cuz we never thought up a name beyond the placeholder, and we just kinda kept using it.

This one was fun.  I didn't really have any ideas that day. Then this popped into my head.

So I made my own version.
